André Cruz (1998, Évora) is a photographer and graphic designer working between Lisbon and Évora. His practice moves between documentary work and mixed-media experimentation.

He graduated in Visual Arts–Multimedia from the University of Évora (2020) and completed an intensive one-year course in Graphic Design at ETIC Lisbon (2025). Active since 2017, he began by documenting local music festivals such as Capote Fest and Black Bass Évora Fest, later collaborating with CVLTO across central and southern Portugal.

André’s approach is guided by curiosity for process, low-cost experimentation and the creative “accidents” that surface along the way—themes he explored in his photographic zine NIGHT SHIFT (2020).

Since then, he has worked with a growing range of cultural institutions, festivals and artistic projects, including Fundação Eugénio de Almeida, PLATO Gallery (Porto/Évora), Artes à Rua, Contanário, Musicálogos, Imaterial and various artistic residencies at CAU in Cortém. His client work also extends to event and identity design—from creating visuals for the queer party series CURVS to developing tour posters for bands represented by Pointlist—as well as ongoing photographic documentation for the political party LIVRE.
